Hello dear friends! I’m so excited to welcome you to our very first blog post from PURE Wellness.
As many of you know, I recently had a baby, and this new chapter has deepened my understanding of how we can blend ancient practices with modern wellness techniques. Balancing life as a new mom has really shown me the value of layering these therapies for a more holistic approach.
That’s why today, I’m excited to talk about how we’re layering therapies like a hot sauna bed with red light therapy alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture. I believe in a layered approach to health, drawing on both ancient practices and modern techniques to support your well-being.
Each of these therapies; acupuncture for balancing your Qi, red light therapy for reducing inflammation, and sauna heat for circulation brings its own benefits. Together, they create a deeply restorative experience that I’ve found especially meaningful as I navigate this new phase of life.
Why combine sauna, red light therapy, and acupuncture?
Let’s break it down a bit. The hot sauna bed is a wonderful way to gently warm up your muscles and relax your body before a treatment. This warmth helps you unwind and primes your body to receive the full benefits of what comes next.
Then we add red light therapy. This gentle light reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and boosts circulation. By the time you lie down for your acupuncture session, your body is already in a state of relaxed readiness. That means the acupuncture can work even more effectively to balance your Qi and support your overall wellness.
A tip for the season: nourishing your Vata Energy
Now, since you’ve read this far, I’d love to share a practical tip that you can take into the new season. As we move towards winter, it’s a time to focus on balancing Vata energy.
The warmth we get from sauna and red light therapy is wonderful, but we can also nourish ourselves from the inside out with the right foods.
To keep Vata balanced, Ayurveda recommends warm, grounding foods think:
Cooked grains like basmati rice and quinoa,
Hearty root vegetables like sweet potatoes and carrots
Healthy fats like ghee and warm milk.
By adding these into your diet, you’re supporting that same internal warmth and stability.
I hope this gives you not just a glimpse into what we’re doing at PURE Wellness, but also something valuable to take with you.
